Trendiest Spring Flowers

Updated: Mar 7

When it comes to cracking the code on what is trendy, we ask "What screams "lush, ruffly, and "WOW!?"

Pantone color Peach Fuzz was recently announced as color of the year for 2024. Lucky for floral farmers and designers, this beautiful shade is found in a lot of flowers and it takes some of the guess work out of what is trendy!

We are so excited to share what we think are the trendiest blooms of Spring.

  1. Oochiegas and Scrumdiddlyumptious ITOH Peonies

ITOH Peonies are the children of parent herbaceous crossed with tree peonies. The result are vigorous growing plants that have a high producing bloom count once established. These plants also boost plenty of greenery that are resilient to hanging around until the end they go dormant in late Fall, making them ideal landscaping plants! But enough about the basics...

Oochigeas, Scrumdiddlyumptious, and Canary Brilliants ITOH Peonies hit the top of our list! Oochigeas is a beautiful buff peony with hints of peach and has a distinct pearl iridescence to its petals. Scrumdiddlyumptious is a very full peony and resembles a large ruffled pom pom. Canary Brilliants is has elegant apricot hues and a "must have" in the garden.

2. Romance Ranunculus from the Japanese breeder Aya Engei Co., Ltd.

These Ranunculus are bigger and better than ever. With incredible petal count and excellent vase life, they are sure to be crowd pleasers.

WHERE TO BUY? Cut flowers will be available from our farm in April. Corms are still harder to come by as they were more recently trials and are just being released to growers.

3. Double Narcissus

Tell the "old school" single-coned daffodils to take the back seat and say "HELLO" to double narcissus! These luscious beauties look like the are exploding with ruffles! Delnashaugh and Angel Fire (middle photo credit: Onings) are amongst our favorites!

"Peach Fuzz" is no stranger to flowers.
