DIY Succulent Topped Pumpkin Instructions

1. Prep your pumpkin.

 

If your stem has not been cut back, we suggest using by-pass pruners to trim the stem back to about 1”. Gently dust off your pumpkins and wipe clean.​​​

2. In a circular pattern, apply a generous portion of spray glue to the top of your pumpkin.  Let the glue tack up for about 30 seconds.  Add a 1/2” layer of moss around the base of the stem

3. Arrange your 3 large focals (e.g. echeveria/sempervivum) outward facing on the top of your pumpkin.

4. Using your hot glue gun, apply a generous amount of glue to the stem and underside of each of your focals and press into your moss.  â€‹

5.  Continuing to use your hot glue, add "supporting staff/filler" succulents. eg. Jade clusters.  

 

Working in multiples of "3," continue to tuck filler, trailers, and other unique elements like dried botanicals, feathers, grasses to create visual interest

6. Turn your pumpkin frequently and work outward towards the crown of the pumpkin to avoid piling or stacking.
